First phase elections expected results are out.In Andhra Pradesh voting was held for 22 Lok Sabha and 154 assembly constituencies today.Around 65 percent of the people voted. There are around 315 candidates contesting for Lok Sabha in 22 seats. It is a known fact that TRS is strong in Telangana and this is added advantage to the Mahakutami. The campaigning of NTR and BalaKrishna added glamour to the TDP campaign. The manifesto of TDP also created waves.Like free TV,rice at subsidized price.

According to a popular news channel the split of the seats among the major parties is as follows

MahaKutami :102

Praja Rajyam Party:15

Congress party :37

The Election Commission has ordered re-poll in 17 polling booths. More than 60,000 policemen and 123 companies of paramilitary forces were deployed in the constituencies. The second phase of polls April 23 will cover 20 Lok Sabha and 150 assembly constituencies in south coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.Counting will be taken up May 16.
