Are Idlebain reviews still credible ?

idlebrain Jeevi is famous for his telugu movie reviews. Gone are the days where junta's decision of watching a movie relied on his review. Long back, idlebrain movie ratings and movie collections were directly propotional. Now you do not see any significant relation. And you also find many good sites which are faring better than Idlebrain either in reviews or industry updates.

In the past idlebrain, was unbiased towards high budget and star studded movies. These days we see idlebrain stamping a minimum rating of 3 to every top league hero acted movie. We also see those minimum ratings if the movie is produced by leading production houses. idlebrain also did avoid writing reviews of many movies in the recent past.

In the graph below you see that in last two years idlebrain has not rated even a single movie below 3.The number of movies reviewed annually have also come down drastically.

Web Traffic Rank 2011- To Date

The rating standards of idlebrain came down considerably. I think idlebrain does not have the guts to say that a particular movie is bad. idlebrain is trying to play safe and be nice to everyone. I might be wrong. This strategy definitely will not work. The web traffic to the site which is going down day by day proves that.

Movie Ratings 2009-To Date

Only 9% of the total movies among which idlebrain has rated have a rating below 3. Even those movies are rated in 2009. In 2010 and 2012 not even a single movie is rated below 3. Is idlebrain trying to convey that 91% of the movies which it has rated are decent enough to watch ??? I dont think so !!!!

Movie Ratings 2002-2004

In the time frame 2002-2004, idlebrain has rated almost half of the overall movies which it has rated, below 3. This is contrasting to the trend we saw above. I think these figures give us a more realistic sense. I think this very much answers the doubts relating to credibility of idlebrain reviews.

Long back, idlebrain used to published the review first on net. These days, its not just the reviews, even movie industry updates are published late. There are many months in a row where not even a single update is published.

NTR BAADSHAH DANCE SHOOTING

NTR and Srinu Vaitla crazy combination Baadshah movie started its shooting in Europe. Few talkie scenes and songs were shot there recently. Some one caught the dance shooting in a cam and uploaded it in you tube. 

NTR has not done any good moves after Adhurs. Even Dammu did not have any good moves. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch Tarak in some extraordinary dance movies. NTR has a bit to catch up with Bunny in dancing. 

The video posted below is a 23 second video, where NTR rehearses for the step for a while and then dances with foreigners for around 10 seconds. It came out very well and you get to see people clapping for  NTR's steps.

Andala Rakshasi telugu movie

Andala Rakshasi movie songs are in loop in my vlc player for the past few days. Especially the 'Yemito' song, is awesome. The movie posters are also too good. Got a chance to check the Anadala Rakshasi wallpapers a bit early as my batch mate at college worked as a assistant director for this movie. The movie is presented by Varahi banner which is also producing Eega movie. I wish Andala Rakshasi does necessary promotion to hit the box office with a bang.

Added to all this the trailer is also good. It has a bit of Mani Ratnam's Gitanjali touch. Eagerly waiting for this movie and will definitely watch FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW[FDFS]. I wish Ravi[Assistant Director] all the best and hope Andala Rakshasi comes out with flying colors.

This movie on M S Subbalaxmi will be directed by none other than Rajeev Menon, famous cinematograpger. Rajeev Menon is currently working as a cinematographer for Mani Ratnam's Kadhal movie and Rajani Kanth's Kodayachen. He will start on  this movie as soon as his movie with Rajani kanth is done. Right now as per sources the hunt for the leading lady who will portray the role M S Subba Lakshmi is going on. Hope the attempt does not disappoint us.
